- Watching: It came to me after watching We were Soldiers
Those who have seen battle are the only ones who can trully
call themselves soldiers/warriors, and only these men
deserve the right to freedom, and to teach the warriors taking
their place. Among the few the proud and the strong, as true
wariors who have seen and lived through the horror of the
battlefeild.
Even though the battlefeild is a horrid place, it is one among
2 worlds these men call home. The other world is with their
familly and freinds who will never know the other half
of these extrordanary people.
These people have seen the worste and greatest the human race
is capable of. Though these men have immesserable regrets and
pain that come from it, they could not have it and would not
have it any other way.
I speaking as a future soldier and warrior just coming from
training, and getting ready to be thrown in to the battlefeild.
To fight and receave the honor and pride that awaits me, though
I fear what it brings and can take form me. Also I fear
what it can take from those I love and fight with, for these
2 are one of the most important things I will fight for.
All of these warriors fight for a different reason, I myself
fight because I am a "Hero". I fight for those who cannot
defend themselves, choose not to defend themselves, and
do not know yet how to defend themselves. I fight for both
the good and evil that is in this world. I fight to save
everyone on both sides, to eventually save everything. That
is what I fight for as a hero, and as a warrior. Though at times
I may have to take the life of those I am trying to save,
it is for those many more I must save with the lives I must take.
Because some times you can't save them all, and you must take
a life to save millions more.
There is only 2 places in this world that I can die, and be happy.
These two places are on the battlefeild among my brothers and
sisters in armsfight for those that I love wishing to see them
one last time, and the other is at home with those that I
love thinking of my brothers in armswishing I could fight
with them one last time.
Those to places are trully the only places a warrior can die, for
without either we are not warriors, we are nothing.
After you read this, not only think of who your soldiers fight for
but why, who knows some may even fight just to see you smile.
I myself can't wait to join the ranks of a true warrior who has seen battle, for to me
there is no higher honor or pride than to have been given the ability to die for everything you beleave in and love.
In this entry men doesn't refer to only one sex, it refers to everyone who is in the military.
And, hey - good luck wherever you may be going. I, for one, greatly appreciate anyone who serves in our armed forces. Thank you for doing what you're doing.
